I don&rsquo;t get it. Belize should be <em>heaving</em> with North American tourists and residents. But the rich and famous seem to have the place mostly to themselves.<br />
<br />
Which doesn&rsquo;t make sense&mdash;because the prices here are low enough that almost anyone can afford a Caribbean beach house.<br />
<br />
Belize (including its islands) is fun, friendly, laid-back, and easy, with lots of beach. The entire country (300,000 people) is the same size as Massachusetts (6.5 million people). Maybe its size is why so many people don&rsquo;t know about it.<br />
<br />
Anyone who <em>has</em> heard of Belize may think it&rsquo;s too expensive. After all, there are a lot of million-dollar homes along the coast. It&rsquo;s not too hard to find a new house that comes with a 100-foot-yacht slip as standard.<br />
<br />
Hollywood celebrities own islands and hotels here. A couple of weeks before my recent visit, Charlie Sheen was in town.<br />
<br />
Yet on the same stretch of coast, you can buy a lot and build your own beach house for $100,000 total. If you want something already built, you can easily find it for less than $200,000.<br />
<br />
But affordable beach is only a small part of the real Belize story.<br />
<br />
It&rsquo;s easy to fit in&mdash;everyone speaks English (it&rsquo;s the official language).<br />
<br />
They hate taxes&mdash;and consistently defend their asset protection laws in international courts.<br />
<br />
It&rsquo;s easy to get residency&mdash;they want to attract more North American expats.<br />
<br />

<p>We have notice more people stopping by the office in Corozal as well asking us about the opportunities in Corozal.&nbsp; A lot of people from Florida and other areas close to the Eastern coast are calling us.&nbsp; <strong>I guess people don't like black oily water to swim in or something.&nbsp; </strong></p>
<p>The belize opportunity here in Corozal is outstanding and people are waking up to the wonderful pure lifestyle in this area.&nbsp; It has everything to offer and is extremely affordable.&nbsp;&nbsp; And you acually get title to your property!!!&nbsp; you own it.&nbsp; Nobody can take that away from you.&nbsp; We are taking Canadian money at par but we have to use the US dollar as our cornerstone for pricing.&nbsp; Not sure what will happen to the american dollar in the next little while but maybe that is why we are getting so much action...&nbsp; Maybe the Americans know something we don't know.&nbsp;</p>

<p><span style="color: #0000ff"><span style="background-color: #ffffff">Hello everyone its WARREN MUDRY&nbsp;here &nbsp;,its been 7 years since I left my native homeland Canada to venture out to Belize Centural America. Leaving 16 years of being a license realtor and my Canadian ways, I looked foward to seeing what Belize had to offer. When I arived I went to San Padro Island where it was&nbsp;very beautiful and had green waters and white sandy beaches. I looked at the real estate potential and saw 13 offices on the small Island and thought back then, its very competitive .&nbsp;I left the Island of San Padro and ventured out on a country tour during the wet season (June to the end of october). I toured the whole country and its tropical beauty and it friendly english speaking people.The fruits and vegetables and poultry, pork ect was all very taste and cheap to Canadian standards.Finding out that German Mennonites moved some 70 years ago to BELIZE now grow all organice food for Belize. Touring down south in&nbsp;&nbsp;Placencia&nbsp; was&nbsp;beautiful but had alot of rainfall, 3 times more then Corozal (where I live Now)and lot of sand flees and bugs. There was&nbsp; alot of property erosion from the movement of the waves there also . Talking to one home owner, she told me she lost 20% of her oceanfront lot in one year and was afraid of loosing more.
